Since I've been in InterCommunity and Common Ground, I have been going to groups like advocacy, music, meditation, and have made several trips to fun and exciting places. I overcame my fear of the water on a ferry trip over Long Island Sound, and traveled to Howe Caverns to visit the caves in New York. I have been a client of InterCommunity for 3 years and my life has changed from being on the streets to being a stable mentor and representative for those who need help and a peer's advice. If not for the services I was able to receive from therapists, case managers, primary care, and mental health groups, I would still be on the street with no purpose. I am very happy to have found my purpose and I just won an award for my advocacy leadership this year. Thanks for all the help!

I have been attending the InterCommunity social rehab club Common Ground since 2015 and its a great space to interact with people and staff is very friendly and helpful. All the people I have met there are wonderful people that I enjoy attending groups with. They are all positive people. I have attended advocacy meetings and lobby breakfasts to advocate for myself and others. We have done several trips to picnics, field days, and day trips to places like mini golf, adventure parks, and Howe Caverns in New York. I have done environmental advocacy with turtles and animals which has been a great experience for me. I now run groups of my own to help people cope with mental illness in a positive way.

Intercommunity is a wonderful place to work, and the staff truly care about the patient's well being. Intercommunity has helped my family members to work through hard times and I would recommend them to those in need of support and/or care.

Intercommunity has changed my life. More accurately, the people at Intercommunity. I have been to almost all surrounding programs unsuccessfully. IC treats me as part of not apart from. Like an adult , with respect. I have to do my part. It works for me. Results required work on both parts. The journey has been remarkable and continues. Godspeed to all.

My husband and I got our flu shots here in the fall. It was easy to get an appointment (although it is not always necessary to have an appointment), we were treated promptly and professionally and their facilities were very clean and newly renovated.
